Map Similarities (aka the Boundary truth nuke)

I wanted to make this thread to post about maps which have very similar design philosophies and were probably borrowed. To be clear, I do not think this makes something a "bad map," there's a saying that nothing is new under the sun, and as long as it lets you experience it in a fresh new way I think it's fine.

For starters, I want to post this image which is proof that I'm not crazy about Boundary last being basically Badwater last. I look at things from a level design perspective rather than aesthetics, sort of like the field of topology in mathematics.

it's funny to see the parallel's drawn out, but honestly when it comes to map creation it can be difficult to think of something truly original or you might make something which is extremely similar to a pre-existing map; like a musician composing something only to find out someone else did the exact same thing 30 years ago. after trying to create an SD map myself, my mind kept falling back on concepts from doomsday since it's the SD map, a lot of layouts or plans I drew out eventually had me telling myself "this is just doomsday but different" which is arguably the case with boundary and badwater
