Pasta posted a map tier list in the group chat a few days ago and I thought this would be a fun idea for a thread.

I'll start with the official maps ranking. I didn't rank a lot of the seasonal and Halloween maps because bloating my F tier with 30 maps makes it unrearable

Here’s my own low effort tier list. Made to refute any claim that I “don’t like any maps”. There is barely any metric at work here except my probability to leave the server when this map comes on.

mostly castaway maps but i included a few summer maps and stuff just for comparisons sake

Here's mine, based off of all the 'official' maps I've played.

pretend my tierlist now has matterhorn and abbey in F, lol. played them last night on va1 they weren't fun

anyway, i created a tier list for all the custom maps we run. i added most of the custom maps random threw in last night as well, though i don't think most of us have played them.

these are my rankings.

If you or someone else wants to maintain a tier list of maps that is only our rotation that would be great. Both vanilla and custom maps but only what we run. Probably a better metric than just vanilla or just custom

What if you wanted to try backwards maps but the entire server was like
disconnected by user?
If someone makes a Castaway rotation only tier list I'll redo my original one. Shit is too cluttered with holiday slop and my D tier quickly devolved into "Halloween maps I can remember playing at least once" with zero regard for quality.

Also who the fuck decided that the default format for tiermaker should be red=good green=bad?

Update: move lwobtsud to C, layout good geometry goofy and I'm getting stuck on random shit

I'm about done creating the images for this new tier list, if i want to update it later i'll have to get the list of maps we run for halloween as well.

Mine

Here's mine. For clarity, I put only one version for maps that are in multiple game modes. [e.g., Well, Badlands, etc.] I simply put my favorite game mode for these maps, because the other variants are usually of equivalent quality. I rated the Jungle Inferno maps [sans Banana Bay] so low because, while some of these maps play decently well, they look absolutely horrible and run poorly on a lot of people's machines. I have also left out VSH (terrible vscript slop that should have never been added), Mannpower, PASS time, Smissmass, and Halloween maps. There are way too many seasonal maps in the game and apart from the classics (and a couple of gems that have been added over the years) all of these maps would go in F- and bloat the tierlist even more.

I have also not played every single map in the F- tier, and frankly, I don't have to. I don't need to sit down and play 25 rounds of Venice or Selbyen to know that they don't fit TF2 at all and should be deleted.

Haven't played in a long time (and G*d knows when I'm gonna have free time again,) but here's my gem submission that will save castaway.tf o algo

finished the full castaway rotation tierlist, includes all the weekend maps. thought it would be too annoying to make all 125 images but i got it done. Hope this suffices from now on.
