Have you ever wondered why TF2 never had an official game guide when you first played it?

That's because back when TF2 was released, games were still transitioning from print media to digital media. This meant that official guides were usually written in physical print form (since internet speeds back then were slower). Unfortunately, with TF2 being a complex game, this meant there was a steep learning curve unless you were able to get your hands on the printed guidebook.

Never saw this before, thanks for sharing. There's something about that old TF2 aesthetic that I really, really dig and modern TF2 just doesn't quite have it. It's the art style, sure, but also the general care and thought that Valve used to put into the game that went away a long time ago. For all its faults and all the drama, Goldrush did a fantastic job at doing that aesthetic justice in my opinion.
