Publicly Releasing the Weapon Reverts Plugin in AlliedModders
See the list of ALL WEAPON REVERTS AVAILABLE IN THE PLUGIN: (https://github.com/rsedxcftvgyhbujnkiqw ... evert-List)
This is a modified repost of a GitHub repost of my Steam post:
Hello
For the past year or so, we have been planning on publicly releasing the weapon reverts plugin in AlliedModders that Castaway (and other servers) uses, so that future server operators can use the plugin.
We call this plugin the "TF2 Weapon Reverts Extended" as of the time of this writing (and can be seen whenever you type "sm plugins list" in the servers).
A short history lesson first, the plugin itself is essentially a fork of Bakugo's TF2 Weapon Reverts plugin with some weapons added from NotnHeavy's now broken old Pre-Gun Mettle Plugin along with some variants we from Castaway added in (like the Pocket Pistol and Claidheamh Mor if I remember correctly).
Now, the reason why I'm making this thread is simple. I want to ask the Castaway playerbase and any players who play in servers with the weapon reverts plugin these this questions:
0. Should the plugin include ALL the weapons and their variants at every point of history to make it the ultimate plugin that will save TF2?
1. What should be the point of the Weapon Reverts Plugin?
2. Do you think there should be weapon revert variants in the plugin that existed for a short while or not (like 1 day/less than a week/month)?
3. Should weapon revert variants that you think are a direct nerf not be included in the plugin?
4. Should overpowered weapon variants that only existed very briefly be included in the plugin?
5. What should the plugin have before it is publicly released?
Now, I know what you're asking: "Huh? Revert variants?". Yes, in the plugin some weapons have multiple historical variants of the same weapon.
For example, the Dead Ringer has currently 6 variants: (1) Pre-Gun Mettle, (2) Pre-Jungle Inferno, (3) Gun Mettle, (4) Post-Release, (5) Release, and (6) Pre-2010. As for what these variants do, you can see all the weapon revert variants in the plugin in the Castaway GitHub Wiki Weapon Revert List: (https://github.com/rsedxcftvgyhbujnkiqw ... evert-List).
What do you think?
